About Us

Vaughn and Maria Duggins met at Wright State University where they were members of the men’s and women’s basketball teams. Combined, they scored over 2,500 points in their college careers! After they graduated, they went overseas to pursue Vaughn’s dream of playing professional basketball. Vaughn played for 7 years in both France and Germany and retired in 2018. Vaughn was inducted in the Wright State Athletics Hall of Fame in 2018 and Maria is being inducted in the Anderson High School (Cincinnati) Athletics Hall of Fame in 2026. 

 

After giving their lives to Jesus back in 2017, both felt called to use their basketball experiences and athletic giftings in a ministry setting. They served at the local church level as well as Christian education athletics. In the Summer of 2025, they founded TempleFit Athletics and work to fulfill the mission to use basketball and athletics as a means to teach the next generation about Christ, competition, and their calling. 

 

To date, they have trained hundreds of players of all ages. Vaughn and Maria currently live on the Northside of Indy with their 4 kids: Gianni (10), Penelope (8), Nico (4), and Luca (1).
